The tiny villa

A tiny villa with a separate bedroom. The rest is outside.

Sleeping

Under a skylight bigger than you're used to. At night you'll see stars you'd stopped believing in. Open the window all the way and you're really sleeping outside. In the morning, you wake to birds and nothing else…

Guests say they sleep here the way they haven't in a long time. We don't promise anything. It just happens.

The double bed under the large skylight, with plenty of space for clothes
The covered dining table on the terrace, garden behind it.

Waking up

A terrace, partly covered. The place for your first cup of coffee or tea. A garden with food that's sometimes yours. A brook to cool off in. A cork oak for shade.

Down the path, five minutes on foot, a local café open on weekends where you can have a fresh ham roll. Beyond that: silence.

Before you come

A few things to know.

About the drive, the bag you pack, and how we welcome you in.

01

Getting here

Rent a car at Faro Airport, about an hour and a half via the A22 and M501. We send the exact route and pin once your booking is confirmed.

02

What to bring

Walking shoes for the beautiful off-road trails, water shoes for the brook, a sweater for the evenings (mountain climate), sunscreen. Everything else is here: towels, beach towels included, sheets, coffee and tea for the first few days, and the kitchen basics.

03

Food & groceries

The supermarket is a 20-minute drive into the centre of Monchique. On request (for a fee) we can prepare breakfast for your first morning. Just let us know at booking if you'd like that.

04

Check-in & keys

We live next door and give you a short tour on arrival: how everything works, where the paths run, what's ripe in season. Earlier or later arrivals are usually fine; let us know and we'll adapt.

Sound about right?

Let us know which dates you have in mind. We reply personally, usually within a day.
